Trace Problems

10-2 Atria Electrocardiograph Operating Instructions
PROBLEM
The Atria will not send records via
modem/fax function not working.
The Atria displays "Directory Full"
message.
All printouts show Alternate Chest Lead
ECG or RIGHT CHEST LEAD ECG.
Before troubleshooting trace problems, ensure the following:
• Good quality electrodes are used
• The electrodes are not dried out
• The skin is properly prepared and the electrodes are applied
correctly, with good contact to the skin
• Electrodes are not dirty
• Lead wires are securely attached to all electrodes
• The ECG cable is securely plugged into the Atria
PROBABLE CAUSE
• Verify the Atria is connected to a phone
jack.
• Verify the Atria contains an internal
fax/modem; contact your local
representative or Cardiac Science
Corp. Technical Support Department
for assistance.
• Verify the phone number and
description fields are correctly filled in.
These are found in the Setup > Send
Receive > Setup FAX menu item.
• Verify the correct phone type and
connection type are selected in the
Setup > Send Receive > Setup FAX
menu item.
• Verify the phone cord is functioning.
• Records in the directory are either
demographics-only, have not been
printed or have not been sent (with the
communications option). See
"Automatic deletion when the Directory
is full" on pg. 8-6 for more information.
• Custom 1 or Custom 2 is configured to
Alternate Chest Lead. Configure
setting to any other format (see
"Custom Lead Settings" on pg. 4-9).
