Instrument Disinfection
It is very important that the instrument is thoroughly disinfected before it is removed
from the laboratory or any servicing is performed on it.
Before the instrument is returned to the service center for service or repair, it must be
disinfected and a disinfection certificate completed by the operating authority. If a
disinfection certificate is not supplied, the instrument may not be accepted by the
service center or it may be held by the customs authorities.
Disinfection Solutions
Use the following disinfection solutions for the disinfection procedure:

Bio-Plex Pro and Bio-Plex Pro II Wash Stations
The disinfection procedure should be performed according to national,
regional, and local regulations.
All parts of the instrument that come into contact with potentially
infectious material must be treated as potentially infectious.
It is advisable to adhere to applicable safety precautions, (including the
wearing of powder-free gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing)
to avoid potential infectious disease contamination when performing the
disinfection procedure.

Ethanol
Risk of fire and explosion!
Ethanol is flammable and when improperly handled can lead to
explosions. Proper laboratory safety precautions must be observed.
