Setup

5.1.7 Privacy Masking (Select Network Cameras only)

Configure privacy masks to hide certain parts of the camera image in video recordings.
CAUTION
Privacy masks block out parts of the camera image entirely and appear as black boxes in recordings.
To configure video overlay:
1. Under Privacy Masking, select Enable.
2. Click and drag the black boxes to cover the area you want to block on the camera im-
age. You can adjust the size of a black box by clicking and dragging the corners of the
box. You can configure up to four boxes.
• Right-click to delete the currently selected privacy area.
• Click-and-drag outside of the privacy areas to create a new privacy area.
3. Click Save to save changes.
In select PTZ cameras, you can configure privacy mask as follows:
1. Under Setup > Camera > Video > Overlay, click Privacy Mask.
2. Under SN, select a number for the privacy mask you wish to setup. You can configure
up to 24 privacy masks.
3. Use the PTZ controls below the camera image to move the camera to the desired
location.
4. Click Draw. Click-and-drag on the camera image to draw the privacy mask over the
area you wish to hide.
NOTE
Repeat step 2, 3, and 4 to draw multiple privacy mask on the camera image.
