B. Right-click the Local Area Connection of the network adapter that connects the computer to
the networking device, select Status, and click Details.
C. Note the IP addresses of the DNS servers.
D. In the Network Connections window, right-click the Local Area Connection of the network
adapter that connects the computer to the networking device and select Properties.
E. On the General tab, select Use the following DNS server addresses, enter the IP addresses
that you noted in step C, and click OK.
F. Click OK again.
Windows Me, 98, or 95:
A. Click Windows Start > Run.
B. Type command and press ENTER.
C. In the MS-DOS Prompt window, type winipcfg /all and press ENTER.
D. Note the IP addresses of the primary and secondary DNS servers.
E. On the desktop, right-click Network Places or Network Neighborhood and select
Properties.
F. On the Configuration tab, select the network adapter that connects the computer to the router
and click Properties.
G. On the DNS Configuration tab, click Enable and enter a Host name.
H. In DNS Server Search Order, enter the IP address of the primary DNS server and click Add.
I. In DNS Server Search Order, enter the IP address of the secondary DNS server and click Add.
J. Click OK.
K. Click OK again.
