4.5.5 EM Fan Pack Assembly

Estimated Replacement Time: 10 minutes
The EM fan pack assembly is located inside the EM
housing, next to the LCD status display panel. This fan
pack provides airflow to cool the boards within the EM.
1. Remove (6) #1 Phillips® screws along the top and
bottom of the EM cover in order to remove it.
2. Use side cutters to cut the cable ties securing the
harnesses at the rear-right corner of the QDEC.
3. Remove the two fan pack harnesses from the QDEC.
4. Remove (1) #1 Phillips® screw from the side of the
EM by the LED Status.
5. Disconnect and remove the fan pack assembly.

4.5.6 LED Status Display

Estimated Replacement Time: 15 minutes
The LED status display is located on the face of the EM. It
provides a visual representation of the current projector status
and display any error codes that are generated.
NOTICE: Wear an ESD protective strap when replacing the
LED status display.
1. Remove the fan pack assembly. See
Assembly.
2. Disconnect the LED status display harness from the LED
status display.
3. Remove (4) 1/4-inch socket head screws from the back of
the LED display.
4. Remove the LED display and place in and ESD protective
bag.
