3. Check:
9brake master cylinder reservoir 1
Cracks/damage → Replace.
9brake master cylinder reservoir diaphragm 2
Damage/wear → Replace.
4. Check:
9brake hose 1
Cracks/damage/wear → Replace.

ASSEMBLING AND INSTALLING THE
FRONT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER

9 9 Before installation, all internal brake compo-
nents should be cleaned and lubricated with
clean or new brake fluid.
9 9 Never use solvents on internal brake com-
ponents.
Recommended brake fluid
DOT 3 or 4
1. Install:
9brake hose
Refer to "ASSEMBLING AND INSTALLING
THE FRONT BRAKE CALIPER".
2. Install:
9brake master cylinder 1
NOTE:
9Install the brake master cylinder holder with the
"UP" mark facing up.
9Adjust the brake master cylinder to the proper
angle.
9First, tighten the upper bolt, then the lower bolt.

26 Nm (2.6 m·kg, 19 ft·lb)
11 Nm (1.1 m·kg, 8.0 ft·lb)
