24.3.3 IGMP Filtering Profile

An I GMP filt ering profile specifies a range of m ult icast groups t hat client s connect ed t o t he Swit ch
are able t o j oin. A profile cont ains a range of m ult icast I P addresses which you want client s t o be
able t o j oin. Profiles are assigned t o port s ( in t he I GM P Sn oopin g screen) . Client s connect ed t o
t hose port s are t hen able t o j oin t he m ult icast groups specified in t he profile. Each port can be
assigned a single profile. A profile can be assigned t o m ult iple port s.
Click Adva nce d Applica t ion > M ult ica st > I Pv4 M ult ica st in t he navigat ion panel. Click t he
I GM P Sn oopin g link and t hen t he I GM P Filt e r ing Pr ofile link t o display t he screen as shown.

This field displays t he descript ive nam e for t his VLAN group.
This field displays t he I D num ber of t he VLAN group.
Select an ent ry's check box t o select a specific ent ry. Ot herwise, select t he check box in
t he t able heading row t o select all ent ries.
Check t he ent ry( ies) t hat you want t o rem ove, t hen click t he D e le t e but t on.
Click Ca n ce l t o clear t he check boxes.
DESCRIPTION
Ent er a descript ive nam e for t he profile for ident ificat ion purposes.
To configure addit ional rule( s) for a profile t hat you have already added, ent er t he profile
nam e and specify a different I P m ult icast address range.
Type t he st art ing m ult icast I P address for a range of m ulticast I P addresses t hat you want
t o belong t o t he I GMP filt er profile.
