If these laws apply, then all express and implied warranties are limited in duration
to the warranty period. No warranties apply after that period.
In Canada, warranties include both warranties and conditions. Some jurisdictions
do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above
limitation may not apply to you.
C.2.4 Responsibilities of the Original Purchaser
When a type of service involves the exchange of a product or part, the item Olicom
or your reseller replaces becomes its property and the replacement becomes yours.
The replacement may not be new, but will be in good working order and at least
functionally equivalent to the item replaced.
It is your responsibility to: Obtain authorization from the owner (for example,
your lessor) to have Olicom or your reseller service a product that you do not own.
Where applicable, before service is provided:
•
Follow the problem determination, problem analysis and service-request pro-
cedures provided by Olicom or your reseller.
•
Secure all programs, data and funds contained in a product.
•
Inform Olicom or your reseller of changes in a product's location.
•
For products with exchange service, remove all features, parts, options, alter-
ations, and attachments not under warranty service; products must be free of
any legal obligations or restrictions that would prevent exchange.
•
Be responsible for loss of, or damage to, a product in transit, when you are
responsible for the transportation charges.
C.2.5 Return of Products
To return an Olicom product, contact your reseller directly and follow the
instructions provided by your reseller, or in the US and Canada only, contact
Olicom's Technical Support Department: for switches and routers call 1-800-933-
0413 for all other products call 1-800-Olicom1 to obtain a Return Material
Authorization (RMA) form. Returned products must adhere to Olicom's RMA
procedures, be securely packaged, marked with an RMA number and sent freight
pre-paid to the address specified on the RMA form.
Warranty returns found not to be defective will be subject to a standard Olicom
verification charge.
