C.2.2 The Olicom Warranty
Olicom warrants that each product:
•
Is free from defects in materials and workmanship
•
Substantially conforms to Olicom's official published specifications
Olicom calculates the expiration of the warranty period from the product's date of
installation. The date on your receipt is the date of installation, unless Olicom or
your reseller informs you otherwise.
During the warranty period, Olicom or your reseller will provide warranty service
under the type of service designated for the product and will manage and install
engineering changes that apply to the product. Olicom or your reseller will specify
the type of service.
For a feature, conversion, or upgrade, Olicom or your reseller may require that it is
installed in a product:
•
Under the designated product and serial number
At an engineering change level compatible with the feature, conversion, or
upgrade
Replacement parts assume the remaining warranty of the parts they replace.
If a product does not function as warranted during the warranty period, Olicom, at
its sole discretion, will repair, replace (with a product that is at least functionally
equivalent), or refund the purchase price. To obtain coverage under the warranty
you may be required to present proof of purchase.
If you transfer a product to another user, the warranty service is available to that
user for the remainder of the warranty period. You should give your proof of
purchase and this statement to the new user. However, for products that have a
limited lifetime warranty, the warranty is nontransferable by the original
purchaser.
C.2.3 Extent of Warranty
Olicom does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of a product.
Abuse, neglect, misuse, alteration, accident, modification, unauthorized repair,
disaster, unsuitable physical or operating environment, improper installation,
improper product testing, improper maintenance by you, or failure caused by a
product for which Olicom is not responsible may void the warranties.
These warranties replace all other warranties, express or implied, including, but
not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular
purpose. However, some laws do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties.
