4.2 Using LEDs for Diagnosing

Table 7 shows LED patterns on the switch and optional switch modules that
indicate problem conditions.
As a part of general troubleshooting you should perform the following:
Verify that the power cord is plugged into an active power source and to the
switch. Make sure these connections are firm.
Try power cycling the switch by unplugging and plugging the power cord back
in.
If in the switch equipped with two Power Supply Units the Status LED is on,
but one of the PSU indicators is off then the relevant Power Supply Unit is
faulty.

Problem and Solution
The switch is not connected to a power outlet, or both power
supply units are not present or faulty.
If general troubleshooting tips (listed above this table) do not
help and the Status LED is still off:
– Verify that the AC power source is working by plugging
another device into the outlet.
– You can also plug the switch into a different outlet or try a
different power cord.
– If the power source and power cord function properly and
Status LED is remains off, the switch power supply may
have failed.
Power supply unit 1 is not present or faulty, or the switch is
not connected to a power outlet.

Power supply unit 2 in not present or faulty, or the switch is
not connected to a power outlet.
