Lubrication

Grease more frequently when operating conditions
are extremely dusty or sandy.
Grease Type: No. 2 lithium or molybdenum grease
1.
Disengage the blade-control switch (PTO), move
the motion-control levers to the N
position, and set the parking brake.
2.
Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait
for all moving parts to stop before leaving the
operating position.
3.
Clean the grease fittings with a rag.
Note:
Make sure to scrape any paint off the
front of the fitting(s).
4.
Connect a grease gun to the fitting, and pump
grease into the fittings.
5.
Wipe up any excess grease.

machines—Grease the mower deck-idler
pivot.
Every 50 hours—Grease the pump-idler pivot.

position, and set the parking brake.
Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait
for all moving parts to stop before leaving the
operating position.
Grease the mower deck and pump idler-pulley
pivot with 1 or 2 pumps of grease
For 1500 and 2000 Series machines, grease the
front caster axles
