the Trace
Display
The NARKOMED monitors breathing pressure. You can display the
breathing pressure waveform, or trace, on the Trace and Trend display
area at the bottom of the left-hand screen.
Following power-up, the breathing pressure waveform is displayed on
the left-hand screen.
If the breathing pressure waveform is not currently displayed, you can
display it by pressing the TRACE key.
The breathing pressure waveform provides a visual assessment of lung
mechanics and ventilation. The waveform is displayed in one of two
scales, depending on the setting of the high pressure alarm limit. When
the broader scale is used, the threshold pressure alarm limit appears on
the display.
