Limitations on use

Any use other than that described in the "Intended use" chap-
ter should be regarded as incorrect use. Especially the follow-
ing points are not permitted:
Use for scuba diving
Use in combination with self-contained breathing appara-
tus (1st stage)
Use in pressure chambers

WARNING
Risk of injury
The lung demand valve must be supplied with breathing gas in
accordance with the moisture content requirements of
DIN EN 12021.
► When there is a danger of freezing, the water must be
removed from the lung demand valve and the hose.
► If there is a visible leak in the lung demand valve, do not
block the outlet opening.
NOTICE
► Coupling tubes can impair the function.

During use

4.1.1

Lung demand valve with full face mask

1. Operate the breathing gas supply (operator side).
2. Connect the lung demand valve either directly to the ring
line or fit the belt unit as described below. If the lung de-
mand valve is connected directly to the ring line, continue
with item 7..
3. Fit the belt unit and set the width of the attachment strap.
4. Connect the extension tube to the distributor by pressing
the coupling halves together until they snap into place.
5. Test that the connection is secure by pulling on the tube.
Check the tube connection to the distributor on the belt unit
before each use (do not use any tools).
6. Connect the lung demand valve to the belt unit distributor
and then connect the belt unit to the ring line using an ex-
tension tube.
7. The air shower must be actuated to test the lung demand
valve. A blow-out must be carried out.
8. Put on the full face mask according to the corresponding in-
structions for use and connect it to the lung demand valve.
9. In order not to inhale possible contaminants, take the first
breath carefully and slowly. To then test if there is sufficient
breathing gas, take several deep breaths.
4.1.2

Lung demand valve with diver half mask

1. Operate the breathing gas supply (operator side).
2. Connect the lung demand valve directly to the ring line.
3. The air shower must be actuated to test the lung demand
valve. A blow-out must be carried out.
4. In order not to inhale possible contaminants, take the first
breath carefully and slowly. To then test if there is sufficient
breathing gas, take several deep breaths.
5. Put on the diver half mask in accordance with the corre-
sponding instructions for use.
4.2

After use

WARNING
Risk of injury from harmful gases
Do not remove the system until a safe breathing zone has
been reached and there is no more danger.
1. Leave the hazard zone.
2. Remove the full face mask or diving regulator with mouth-
piece.
3. Disconnect the extension hose by pressing both coupling
halves together tightly and simultaneously retracting the
outer sleeve or pressing the button.
4. Fit the protective caps.
5. Open the waist strap.
6. Remove the apparatus and switch off the breathing gas
supply.
