Overview

Power-On Screen

In addition to monitoring clinical parameters, the Narkomed 2B
performs diagnostic self-tests every time the machine is turned on. After
the initial power-on screen is displayed, the monitor screens are
displayed. This section of the manual describes the power-on screen and
explains how to work with the monitoring screens and their controls.
When you turn the SYSTEM POWER switch to the ON position, the
Narkomed 2B performs extensive self-tests on its internal hardware. As
these diagnostics are performed, each test and its result (PASS or FAIL)
appear on the left-hand display screen, indicating the status of various
components of the monitoring system.

Every component of the monitoring system is in
satisfactory operational order. Normal operation of
the machine continues.
A noncritical fault was detected, such as a speaker
failure. You can use the Narkomed 2B, but first
note the test that failed. Report the problem to a
North American Dräger qualified technical service
representative when convenient.
