Use the trace math
To calculate e.g. the difference between two measurements you can use the Display: Math feature of
the Bode Analyzer Suite. Changing Display to Math, leads to new fields in the trace configuration box
as shown below:
You can choose the two operands and the operator. The measurement data as well as memory data is
available as operand. The available operators are: +, -, *, /.
Notes:
The operation is always performed on the complex measurement or memory value. The
display format is later on derived from the outcome of the math result.
Please note that a division equals a subtraction in logarithmic domain. So if you choose
Measurement / Memory 1, in the Magnitude(dB) plot you will see the difference between
Measurement and Memory 1 in dB.
A multiplication equals an summation in logarithmic domain. So if you choose
Measurement * Memory 1, in the Magnitude(dB) plot you will see the sum of
Measurement and Memory 1 in dB.
If the frequency points of the two operands don't match, an info icon will be shown in the
trace header
operand values or the values will be skipped.
