7.2.2 Control program
7.2.2.1 Firmware
The evaporation controller is controlled by an internal program (FIRMWARE) stored in a
Flash-EPROM. This program can be updated via a computer connected to the module. The
stored process data can be transferred. When it is switched on, the evaporation controller
takes over all the settings as they were before it was last switched off. The settings can be
changed when the evaporation controller is on by way of the remote control or interfaces.
When it is switched off, the active settings are stored in a battery buffered RAM. The actual
version of the firmware is displayed in a welcome screen for about three seconds when the
evaporation controller is switched on.
