Power distribution board (PDB)

CAUTION:
If replacing the power distribution board in the Apollo r2800 Chassis, verify the original drive bay
mapping configuration to prevent possible data loss. For more information, see "Drive bay mapping for
the HPE Apollo r2800 Chassis."
To remove the component:
1.
Power down the system.
2.
Disconnect all peripheral cables from the nodes and chassis.
3.
Remove all nodes from the chassis.
4.
If installed, remove the security bezel.
5.
Remove all drives.
6.
If installed, remove the RCM module.
7.
Remove all power supplies.
8.
Remove the chassis from the rack.
9.
Remove the access panel.
10. If Smart Storage Battery is installed, slightly pull up the battery holder from the chassis to access the
battery cable connection underneath it, and then disconnect the Smart Storage Battery cable.
11. Remove the PDB cover.
12. Disconnect all cables from the PDB.
13. Disconnect the PDB pass-through cable from the pass-through board.
14. Remove the chassis PDB assembly.
15. Remove the PDB pass-through board assembly.
a. Use a pair of thin-nose pliers to firmly grasp the cap nuts on the bottom of the PDB.
b. Remove the screws with a T-20 Torx screwdriver.
c. Remove the PDB pass-through board assembly from the PDB.
