2.2.7. I/O Configuration
2.2.7.1.
From the Main Menu, click on "Instance 1", then "Input", and then "Source" to
navigate to the input source menu. (This type of action will be abbreviated later in
this document as "Instance 1" > "Input" > ...) Each input channel pair of Instance 1
(1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10) can be fed from any applied SDI, AES, or Analog source.
Choose the appropriate configuration for your plant.
A standard 5.1 setup will include Front Left and Right (L/R) on Input 1/2, Center
Channel and LFE (C/LFE) on 3/4, and Left Surround and Right Surround (Ls/Rs)
5/6. The remaining channel pairs can be used in a variety of different ways
including SAP audio or a separate stereo input.
2.2.7.2.
From the Main Menu, navigate to "Output Routing" > "AES/SDI Outputs" and then to
either "AES Outputs" or "SDI Outputs" depending upon which outputs you plan to
use. In either case, select the audio you wish to route to each output pair. Typically,
this will mean choosing "Instance 1 Processed 1/2" for the 1/2 output and following
suit with the 3/4 and 5/6 pairs, though other options are available as needed. It is
also possible to select "Off" to completely mute the output of a channel pair.
