TROUBLESHOOTING
The engine indicator light starts to display the self-diagnosis sequence.
NOTE:
Use the following special tool in this trouble-
shooting.
1. Throttle position sensor (TPS)
CIRCUIT DIAGRAM
Throttle position sensor (TPS)

Ignitor unit

1. Wire harness
S Check the wire harness for continuity.
Refer to "CIRCUIT DIAGRAM".
2. TPS
S Check the TPS for continuity.
S Refer to "THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR
(TPS) INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT"
in CHAPTER 5.
Replace the ignitor unit.
CONTINUITY
GOOD
CONDITION
SELF-DIAGNOSIS
Pocket tester:
90890-03112
NO CONTINUITY
Repair or replace the wire harness.
BAD CONDITION
Replace the TPS.
