This section describes the methods by which the Quantum Ultra can be configured and
controlled remotely: the Extron Simple Instruction Set (SIS) commands and the Videowall
Configuration Software (VCS). It describes the available SIS commands and how to
enter them, as well as providing instructions for obtaining and accessing the VCS. Topics

SIS Commands

You can use SIS commands to configure and control the Quantum Ultra via a host
computer or other device (such as a control system) attached to the rear panel RS-232
connector or the rear panel LAN port. Enter commands using a host communication
application such as the Extron DataViewer, available at
DataViewer Help file to use this program). The RS-232 port uses a protocol of 9600 baud,
8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, and no flow control.
SIS commands consist of one or more characters per field. No special characters are
required to begin or end a command sequence. When the Quantum determines that a
command is valid, it executes the command and sends a response to the host device.
All responses from the Quantum to the host end with a carriage return and a line feed
(CR/LF = ] ), indicating the end of the response character string (one or more characters).
