Spare wheel bracket under the vehicle

Slightly raise spare wheel bracket A and
unhook left-hand retaining hook =.

Assemble the pump lever for the jack and
slide it into sleeve ? on spare wheel bracket
A.

Raise spare wheel bracket A with the pump
lever and unhook right-hand retaining hook

Slowly lower spare wheel bracket A down to
the ground.

Lift spare wheel bracket A slightly and pull
the pump lever out of sleeve ?.

Position the loop of extraction device B on
spare wheel D so that you will later be able to
attach wheel wrench C.

Prepare the jack (

Place the jack beneath the corresponding
jacking point (

Move pump lever up and down until the tyre is
a maximum of 3 cm off the ground.
The vehicle is raised.

Hook wheel wrench C into the loop of extrac-
tion device B on spare wheel D.

Use wheel wrench C to pull spare wheel D
carefully out of spare wheel bracket A.
The spare wheel is heavy. When the spare
wheel is removed, the centre of gravity
changes due to the heavy weight of the wheel.
The spare wheel may slip down or tip over.

and store it in a safe place (

In the event of a flat tyre, you may store the
defective wheel inside the vehicle only.
An intact wheel may be stored in the spare
wheel bracket only when the vehicle is unla-
den. A laden vehicle must first be raised

Carefully place the spare wheel onto spare
wheel bracket A.
The spare wheel is heavy. When you place the
spare wheel onto spare wheel bracket A, the
centre of gravity changes due to the weight of
the wheel. The spare wheel may slip down or
tip over.

Slide the pump lever for the jack into
sleeve ? on spare wheel bracket A.

Raise spare wheel bracket A with the pump
lever and attach right-hand retaining hook =.

Slightly raise spare wheel bracket A and
attach left-hand retaining hook =.
X
Pull the pump lever out of sleeve ?.
X
Using wheel wrench C, tighten the retaining
hook bolts by turning them clockwise.

Replace and engage covers :.
