Inspect All Welds

Genie specifications require that this procedure be
performed every 250 hours or quarterly, whichever
comes first.
Weld inspections are essential to safe machine
operation and good machine performance. Failure
to locate and repair damage may result in an
unsafe operating condition.

Visually inspect the welds in the following
locations:
• Platform
• Base
• Mast brace mounting bracket
AWPS models:
• Loading pivot bar
• Outrigger storage sockets
• Tilt-back frame (if equipped)
• Tilt-back frame mounting bracket (if
equipped)
IWPS models:
• Foot pads
• Power wheel assist (if equipped)

Test the Tilt-back Operation (if
equipped)
Genie specifications require that this procedure be
performed every 250 hours or quarterly, whichever
comes first.
A tilt-back frame is standard equipment on
AWP-36S and 40S and optional on AWP-15S, 20S,
25S and 30S. The tilt-back rame allows the
machine to be rolled through a standard doorway.
Failure to detect improper tilt-back operation could
result in unsafe operating conditions and may
cause injury and component damage.

Fully lower the platform to the stowed position.
Remove the outriggers from the base and
place in the storage sockets.
Maintain a firm grasp on the tilt-back frame
and remove the retaining pin.
Lower the tilt-back frame and guide the
tilt-back strut into the strut socket.
