Interlocks

AWPS models: The interlock contacts indicate
proper installation of the outriggers and only allow
the machine to operate when the outriggers are
properly installed and adjusted.
IWPS models: The base interlock switches
indicate that the foot pads are in firm contact with
the ground.
How to Remove an Interlock
Contact - AWP Models

Fully lower the platform.

Turn the key switch off and remove the key.

Store the outriggers in the storage sockets.

Remove the rear base cover.

Trace the interlock contact wires to the rear of
the base.

Locate the terminal strip.

Label and remove the contact wires by
inserting a small screwdriver into the hole
below the wire and gently push in while pulling
on the wire.

Note: Only pull the wires out far enough to access
the interlock contact bracket mounting fasteners.

Switch - IWPS Models

Base Assembly

Follow the wires to the grommets where the
wire enters and exits the base. Pull the wires
through the grommets and the base.
Remove the interlock contact bracket
mounting fasteners from the outrigger base
socket.
Fully lower the platform.
Turn the key switch off and remove the key.
Pull the base lowering handle to fully lower the
base.
Remove the foot pad switch bracket fasteners.
Pull the foot pad switch bracket out of the
base.

Remove the wires from the switch. Note the
wire positions.
Remove the fastener that attaches the switch
to the switch bracket.
