Due to the design of the plant, some apparatus might need reservation of the own bay as
well as reservations from other bays. Received reservation from other bays are handled by
a logical OR together with own bay reservation from the SELGGIO function block that
checks whether the own bay is currently reserved.

The reservation can also be realized with external wiring according to the application
example in figure 83. This solution is realized with external auxiliary relays and extra
binary inputs and outputs in each IED.
