8.2 Projector Management using SNMP
The SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) manages the projector
information, such as a failure or warning status, from the computer on the network.
NOTE
• It is recommended that SNMP functions are executed by a network
administrator.
• SNMP management software must be installed on the computer to monitor
the projector using SNMP.
Standard MIB (MIB-2)
Refer to the following items defined in system group of Standard MIB (MIB-2).

Enhanced MIB
Access configuration information using the Enhanced MIB for projectors.
Enhanced MIB for projectors can be downloaded from [Port Settings] page in
Projector Web Control.
Trap
When an error or warning occurs in the projector, a notification can be sent to the
specified address.
In addition to email alert shown in 8.1 Email Alerts (&89), the following notification
can be sent.

Projector name is set.
The information on where it is located. It has character string
set in sysLocation (SNMP) in Projector Web Control - [Network
Settings] - [Common Setup].
The information on the administrator's contact information. It
has character string set in sysContact (SNMP) in Projector
Web Control - [Network Settings] - [Common Setup].
When the projector is supplied with the power, it works as
below.
• If the STANDBY MODE is set to the NORMAL: the projector's
power status changes from OFF to Standby state.
• If the STANDBY MODE is set to the POWER SAVE: the
projector's power status changes from Standby state to ON
(lamp is turned on).
