Limited IP Multicast Address

The Limited IP Multicast Range window allows the user to specify which multicast address(es) reports are to be received on
specified ports on the switch. This function will therefore limit the number of reports received and the number of multicast groups
configured on the switch. The user may set an IP address or range of IP addresses to accept reports (Permit) or deny reports
(Deny) coming into the specified switch ports. The Limited IP Multicast Commands in the Command Line Interface (CLI) are
listed (along with the appropriate parameters) in the following table.

To configure the limited multicast address on ports 1-3:
Parameters
<portlist> {from <multicast_ipaddr> to <multicast_ipaddr> access [permit
| deny] | state [enable | disable]}
[all | <portlist>]

Used to configure limited IP multicast address range.
config limited multicast address <portlist> {from
<multicast_ipaddr> to <multicast_ipaddr> access [permit |
deny] | state [enable | disable]}
The config limited multicast address command allows the user to
configure the multicast address range, access level, and state.
<portlist> - A port or range of ports to config the limited multicast
address.
from - Enter the lowest multicast IP address of the range.
to - Enter the highest multicast IP address of the range.
access - Toggle the Access field to either permit or deny to limit or
grant access to a specified range of Multicast addresses on a
particular port or range of ports.
state - This parameter allows the user to enable or disable the
limited multicast address range on a specific port or range of ports.
Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
