Command conventions
The following information describes how each command is organized:
Name:
Name of command.
ASCII:
The ASCII control code.
Hexadecimal:
The hexadecimal control code.
Decimal:
The decimal control code.
Value:
A description of the command operands.
Range:
The upper and lower limits of the command operand.
Default:
The command operand default after printer reset.
Description:
Brief description and summary of the command.
Formulas:
Any formulas used for this command.
Exceptions:
Describes any exceptions to this command; for example, incompatible commands.
Related information: Describes related information for this command; for example, bit information.
Command descriptions
Printer actions
The printer function commands control the following basic printer functions and are described in order of their
hexadecimal codes:
• Resetting the printer
• Cutting the paper
• Opening the cash drawers

Clears the print line buffer without printing and sets the printer to the following condition:
• Double-wide command (0x12) is canceled
• Line spacing, pitch, and user-defined character sets are maintained at current selections (RAM is not affected)
• Single-wide, single-high, non-rotated, and left-aligned characters are set
• Printing position is set to column one

This command followed by a 04 or 05 is interpreted as a "Real Time Command"
This command is recognized in A793 emulation and Native mode, ignored in LEGACY emulation.

Cuts the receipt.
There are two codes (Hex 19 or 1B 69) for this command and both perform the same function.
Exceptions
The full cut is replaced by a partial cut in the A793 emulation. ASCII EM, (0x19) is ignored in LEGACY emulation. Line
feed is executed first, if the buffer is not empty.
