mclp performs these verifications when copying files:
Disk space — The system displays an error message if insufficient space is available in
the target directory.
Verification before overwriting — When the system encounters an existing file (same
file name exists in the target directory), the system prompts for Y/N verification before
overwriting the file. The system displays the dates and sizes of both the source and target
files to aid this decision.
The system overwrites without prompting if the optional -y argument is used.

Starting mlcp

To start mlcp, type
1. Locates files in the two download directories, /usr/dcb/flexannun and /usr/dcb/confrp.
2. Checks file names and sizes.
3. Checks for sufficient disk space in the target directories, /usr2/prompts/set1/messages and /
usr3/confrp.
4. Moves download files passing checks to target directories, requiring verification before
overwriting existing files (no verification if -y argument included).
Note:
mlcp automatically removes download files on successful move to target

directories.
5. Returns to the $ prompt.

Transferring Voice Files between Systems

You can transfer voice files to any system (that is, to the original system or to another
compatible system).
To transfer voice files:
1. Copy the voice files to the download directory on the destination host (/usr/dcb/flexannun or
/usr/dcb/confrp).
2. Run mlcp to move the files to their appropriate voice file directory (/usr2/flexannun or /usr3/
confrp).
The following example demonstrates this process.
Example: Transferring flexible annunciator messages from remote host s1100_a to remote host
s1100_b using the local host.
1. From the local host, copy files from /usr2/prompts/set1/messages on s1100_a to /temp on
the local host.
$ rcp -p dcbguest\@s1100_a:/usr2/prompts/set1/messages temp
. The command performs the following actions:
mlcp [-y]
