Managing Files
3. Run the soundcvt utility to convert the selected DRP file to a .wav file. You can rename the
.wav file (the converted file) during the conversion. The conversion can take minutes to
hours, depending on the size of the DRP file.
$ /usr/dcb/bin/./soundcvt -U <DRP filename> -W /usr/dcbguest/
<filename.wav>
4. Verify that a .wav file was created in the dcbguest directory.
$ cd /usr/dcbguest
$ ls -al
The list should include the DRP filename with the .wav extension.
5. Change permissions for the file as desired. The following chmod example shows that full
permissions are granted to all users. (The permissions you set may be different.)
$ chmod -R 777 filename.wav
6. Copy the .wav file to a PC where you can listen to the conference recording using any
multimedia program that plays .wav files.
