Installing the water pump

1. Install a new gasket 1, oil seal housing
assembly 2, dowels 3, a new gasket
4, and outer plate cartridge 5.
2. Install the Woodruff key 6.
3. Align the keyway a in the impeller 7
with the Woodruff key 6, and then install
the impeller 7.

4. Install the insert cartridge 8 and grom-
met 9 into the water pump housing 0.

TIP:

Align the insert cartridge protrusion b with

the holes c in the water pump housing.
5. Install a new gasket q and water pump

housing assembly w into the lower unit,
and then tighten the bolts e and r.

NOTICE: Do not turn the drive shaft
counterclockwise, otherwise the water
pump impeller may be damaged.
