Reservoir cap t:
7 N·m (0.7 kgf·m, 5.2 ft·lb)
Bleeding the PTT unit
Make sure that the PTT ram is fully
extended when removing the reservoir
cap, otherwise fluid can spurt out from
the unit due to internal pressure.
1. Close the manual valve 1 by turning it
clockwise.

Manual valve 1:
2 N·m (0.2 kgf·m, 1.5 ft·lb)
2. Place the PTT unit in an upright position.
3. Check the fluid level in the reservoir.

4. If the fluid level is below the correct level,
add sufficient recommended fluid to the
correct level.
Recommended PTT fluid: ATF Dexron 2
5. Install the reservoir cap.
6. Connect the PTT motor leads a to the
battery terminals to fully retract the PTT
ram.

7. Reverse the PTT
between the battery terminals to fully
extend the PTT ram.
