Removing the flywheel magnet
Do not turn the flywheel magnet counter-
clockwise, otherwise the water pump
impeller may be damaged.
1. Remove the flywheel magnet cover.
2. Turn the flywheel magnet clockwise and
align the "1" mark a on the driven
sprocket with the "▲" mark b on the cyl-
inder head.
3. Loosen the flywheel magnet nut.

4. Remove the flywheel magnet and Woo-
druff key. NOTICE: To prevent damage
to the engine or tools, screw in the
flywheel puller set bolts evenly and
completely so that the flywheel puller
is parallel to the flywheel magnet.

TIP:
Apply force to the crankshaft end until the fly-
wheel magnet comes off the tapered portion
of the crankshaft.
5. Disconnect the charge coil coupler a,
lighting coil coupler b, and then remove
the stator assembly 3.
6. Disconnect the pulser coil coupler c,
and then remove the base assembly 4
with both dowels 5.
