9. Tighten the tensioner bolts to the speci-
fied torque.
Tensioner bolt 5:
8 N·m (0.8 kgf·m, 5.9 ft·lb)
Tensioner bolt (adjusting bolt) 6:
25 N·m (2.5 kgf·m, 18.4 ft·lb)
10. Install the blowby hose.
11. Install the base assembly, stator assem-
bly, and flywheel magnet. See "Installing
the flywheel magnet" (7-6).

Checking the ignition timing

1. Attach the special service tool 1 and 2
to the spark plug wire #1 a.
Digital tachometer 1: 90890-06760
Timing light 2: 90890-03141
2. Start the engine and warm it up for 10
minutes.
3. Check the engine idle speed.
Engine idle speed:
F50D: 800–900 r/min
FT50C: 900–1000 r/min
4. Check that the "T" mark b on the fly-
wheel magnet is aligned with the base
pointer c on the base assembly.
