8. Check that the throttle lever q on the
throttle body assembly contacts e the
throttle stop screw w.

9. Adjust the cable joint 9 to the pin f of
the throttle cam. NOTICE: The throttle
cable joint must be screwed in a mini-
mum of 8.0 mm (0.31 in) g.
10. Install the throttle cable joint 9 to the pin
f on the throttle cam, and then tighten
the locknut e. Then install the clip r.

TIP:
Pull the inner cable to avoid the free play
(backlash) of the cable, and install it to the
pin.
11. Install the retaining plate t, and then
tighten the bolts y.

Installing the battery

Improper battery connections or cable
size selection may result in a fire.
9 When installing an isolator lead to the
positive battery terminal or battery
switch, over-current protection in com-
pliance with ABYC (E-11) must be pro-
vided.
If battery connections are reversed, thor-
ough charging system testing is required,
replace damaged
"Charging unit and components" (5-28).
