Part names and functions

Part names of F-01C and major functions assigned to each part are as follows. Some keys work for the different function by pressing
length. When using function, refer to this manual or "使いかたガイド (Guide)" (in Japanese only) installed in the FOMA terminal.
a Earpiece
b Light sensor
* Sense the ambient lightness to adjust the
brightness of the display. Covering the section,
adjustment may not work correctly.
c Display (Touch panel)⇒P26, 28
d Microphone
* Do not cover it during call or recording.
(Microphone on the back side is used for noise
reduction in normal style and for voice call in
flip style.)
e m MENU key
Display the menu
f a Mail/Character key
Display the mail menu, or switch text input
modes
g c ch/Clear key
Display i-Channel, or return to the previous
screen
h n Start a voice call key
Start voice call, switch to hands-free call or
perform quick voice activation
i 0-9 Keypads
Enter phone number or characters, or
select menu item
j * */Public mode (Drive mode) key
Enter "*" or voiced/semi-voiced sound, or
start/cancel Public mode (Drive mode)
k T i-Widget/TV key

Start/Exit i-Widget, or watch 1Seg
l U Search key
Activate Quick search/Quick voice search
m Temperature/Humidity sensor
* It may not work when you cover this section or
close the FOMA terminal. Temperature/
Humidity values are just guides.
n k Multi-cursor key
Move the cursor, or operate menu
g : Perform an operation.
u : Display Schedule, or adjust sound
volume
d : Display Phonebook, or adjust sound
volume
l : Display Received calls.
r : Display Redial.
* 8-direction operations are available depending
on functions.
o C Camera key
Start the still camera shooting
p I i-mode/i-αppli key
Display iMenu or i-αppli folder
q f Power/End key
Turn ON/OFF FOMA terminal, or exit a
running function
r # #/Silent mode key
Enter "#" or punctuation, or start/cancel
Silent mode
s s Multitask key
Perform another function during a call or
operation, or activate/deactivate Privacy view.
