Front and Main retract
will fit well and then remove it again.
Leave the first half to cure.
Once the first half is securely bonded
you can now add some balsa blocks to
the inside of the first half.
Shape the balsa blocks so they are in
contact with both the leg and cover then
glue in place with cyano.
Again offer up the second half to see
that it fits and adjust if necessary. When
you are happy apply a
generous amount of resin mixed up with
micro balloon to the inside of the cover
where it will come into contact with the
main part of
the strut. Apply cyano to the exposed
cyano blocks and bond in place. Do not
worry if there are any small
gaps.
Once this has fully cured, mix up a slurry
of epoxy with micro balloons and push it
into all areas of the
joint. Once set, sand away the excess
and prepare for painting.
