PUSHING POLE

Back-adjustable wheelchair ECLIPS+30° comes with pushing poles fitted as standard (on the Eclips+
for the seat widths of 19.69 in. and 21.65 in.). They increase the stability of the back and offer you the
possibility of pushing the wheelchair by means of these poles. To do this, use the pre-mounted
handles.

As there are different pushing poles for different seat widths, take care that no tension between the
pushing handles of the back tubes is created.

If you have opted for an anatomical padded seat, place it on
the tubular cross-hinge so that the seat's supports engage
equally with the cross-hinge. In the wooden base you will find
slots that are placed in the hinge's cross-pieces. To fold up
the wheelchair, remove the seat by pulling it upwards.

Secure the pushing pole (1) by fastening the left side
to the end of back tube handle (2) with the Phillips
screw (3) in the applicable sunk threads. Now also
gently screw in the Phillips screw (3) on the right hand
side into the thread of the back tube. Now hook the
suspension of the pushing pole (1) over the screw
thread. The pole now rests in the end position. Now
fully tighten the Phillips screws.

Check that all screws are fixed securely.
The seat frame is available in one of three seat depths
(16.54 in., 17.32 in., and 18.11 in.). The standard seat
depth of the cover is 16.54 in.. To close the gap
between the back frame and the seat, fold the flap of
the backrest under the seat (Velcro fastening).
To change the seat cover, remove the screw at the
front end of the seat frame. Then pull the locking pin
out. Now the seat can be removed by pulling it gently
forwards.
Do the reverse when you want to replace the seat.

Check that all screws are fixed securely.
Check that the seat is secure before use.
Keep all objects and body parts away from the area
between the seat and the cross-hinge.
