Pushing your wheelchair

A companion can push your wheelchair.
Use the levers at the back to disconnect the wheels. At this time, the wheelchair is no longer
driven by its engine and your companion is able to push your wheelchair.
In order to reconnect your engine to the wheels, you have to switch the levers again in the
opposite direction. To avoid damage to the engines, do not start them before they are con-
nected to the wheels.
The engines loose their brake capacity when the engines are disconnected from the wheels.
This is important to know when you are driving down a hill. In that case, you need to use your
manual brakes, positioned at the left and the right in front of the rear wheels.
The wheelchair may only be pushed on a horizontal surface. It is strictly forbidden to drive up
or down a slope when the wheels are disconnected. Your companion might not be able to con-
trol your wheelchair and as such you might endanger other people.
