The following table describes the labels in this screen.
LABEL
Port 1.. 8
Select the check box to enable port authentication on the port.
Port Enable
Select Enable to permit 802.1x authentication on this port. You must first allow 802.1x
authentication on the switch before configuring it on each port.
Select Disable to deactivate 802.1x authentication on this port.
Control Type
Select Auto to authenticate all subscribers before they can access the network through this
port.
Select Force Authorized to allow all connected users to access the network through this port
without authentication.
Select Force Unauthorized to deny all subscribers access to the network through this port.
Re-Auth
Select (On) if a subscriber has to periodically re-enter his or her username and password to
stay connected to the port.
Re-Auth Timer
Specify how often (60~65535 seconds) a subscriber has to re-enter his or her username and
password to stay connected to the port.
OK
Click OK to save your changes and close this screen.
Cancel
Click Cancel to discard all changes and close this screen.

7.8 Port Filter (Port-based VLAN)

The IES-1000 port filter (or port-based VLAN) mechanism can be used to limit the broadcast domain to the
members of a port filter group only. In this way, the port filter increases network performance by limiting
