802.1x Port
Configuration
Port
This field displays a port number.
Active
Select this checkbox to permit 802.1x authentication on this port. You must first allow 802.1x
authentication on the switch before configuring it on each port.
Control Type
When this field displays Auto, the IES-1000 authenticates all subscribers before they can
access the network through this port.
When this field displays Force Authorized, all connected users are allowed to access the
network through this port without authentication.
When this field displays Force Unauthorized, all subscribers are denied access to the
network through this port.
Reauthentication
This field displays whether (On) or not (Off) a subscriber has to periodically re-enter his or
her username and password to stay connected to the port.
Reauthentication
This field displays how often a subscriber has to re-enter his or her username and password
Timer
to stay connected to the port.
Set
Click Set to save the settings in this part of the screen.
Close
Click Close to close this screen.

Port Authentication Setup

To set port authentication on a port, select a port in the 802.1x Port Configuration table in the Port
Authentication screen and click Set. A screen displays as shown below.
