Testing the Alternator (BTG 9.0KW only)
1. For the no-load performance inspection, start the
engine and test the alternator's regulated volt-
age.
Regulated voltage: 13.9 - 15.1 volts
Current: Less than 10 amps
2. To test the stator, use an ohmmeter to check the
resistance between each terminal.
Resistance: Less than 1 ohm
3. To test the rotor, use an ohmmeter to check the
resistance between the slip rings.
Resistance: 2.9 ohm
