Review the following points. For details, see the corresponding pages.
Problem
Power does not turn
on.
No picture appears.
The picture is fuzzy.
The color is pale/
The tint is grayish.
The picture is dark.
The remote control
does not work.

z Is the power plug firmly inserted into the outlet?
z Is the main power switch turned to
z Is the power supplied from the outlet?
z Have the circuit breakers tripped?
z Is the power indicator <POWER> turned off?
z Is the temperature indicator <WARNING TEMP.> flashing?
z Is the picture (output) device connected correctly?
z Is the input selection set correctly?
z Is the external device that is connected to the projector working
properly?
z Is the projector being used within the operating temperature range (5˚C
(41˚F) to 40˚C (104˚F))?
z Is the shutter closed?
z Is the lens focus set correctly?
z Is the projection distance appropriate?
z Is the lens dirty?
z Is the projector installed perpendicular to the screen?
z Is there condensation on the lens?
z Are [Color] and [Tint] adjusted correctly?
z Is the device that is connected to the projector adjusted correctly?
z Is the RGB cable damaged?
z Are [Contrast] and [Brightness] adjusted correctly?
z Is [Image select] adjusted correctly?
z Is [Lamp select] set to [2-Lamps]?
z Is [Lamp power] set to eco-mode?
z Is it time for the lamp to be replaced?
z Are the batteries flat?
z Are the batteries inserted in the correct direction?
z Is the remote control <ON>/<OFF> switch set to <ON>?
z Are there any obstructions between the remote control and the
projector's remote control sensor?
z Is the remote control being used beyond its effective operating range?
z Are other forms of light, such as fluorescent lights, affecting the
projection?
z Is the remote control cable connected to the projector or the remote
control?
z Is the remote control operation locked with [Key lock] in the [Setting]
menu?
z Is [RC sensor] set correctly in the [Setting] menu?
z Has the remote control number been changed?
