10.4.6. Audio Settings

The camera supports two-way audio recording and playback. Record audio at the camera location using an external microphone,
and hear it on PC's or smartphones viewing the live feed or playing back recorded footage. Connect the camera's audio output
to an audio/speaker system input and send audio from the web browser or smartphone interface (device must be equipped with a
microphone).
Some settings are not shown on the menu page by default since audio features are disabled (settings have been enabled
below).

Enable/Disable Enable or disable audio features. Disabled by default.

Click "Apply" at the bottom right of the Audio page to save modified settings.

Select the audio bit rate to use for streaming from the drop-down menu:
G.711 (64Kbps)
G.726 (24Kbps)
G.726 (32Kbps)
Higher Kbps settings can increase audio quality but may cause audio to skip or cut-out on some
networks. Use the lowest Kbps setting that provides adequate audio quality.
Volume level adjustment for the Microphone input to the camera. Acts as an input trim level adjustment.
Use the highest setting that does not cause distortion from the microphone.
Volume level adjustment for Line output from the camera. Acts as an output gain adjustment.
Use the lowest setting that will adequately drive an amplifier input without distortion.
