11. Internal Heater Overview

This IP camera is equipped with an internal heating element that is programmed to turn on as needed based on ambient
temperature. If temperatures fall below 23°F for an extended period, the internal heater will turn on to keep the iris operating
correctly. Without this feature, the iris could become so cold that it sticks in place, causing the camera to lose picture. Once
temperatures rise back above 59°F, the heater will turn off to save power.
Temperature
23°F (-5°C) or lower
-40°F (-40°C) or lower
59°F (15°C)-113°F (45°C)
Over 113°F (45°C)
11.1. Safe Operating Range
-40°F ~ 113°F (-20°C ~ 45°C)
If the ambient temperature is between these temperatures, the camera should power up and operate normally.
If temperatures remain above or below the safe operating range, the camera will shut off or will not power on to
avoid damage to the internals.

Operating Behavior
Heater will turn on to protect camera
Camera should be powered off to protect internals. Keep the camera off until temperature rises to a
safe range.
Heater will turn back off.

safe range.
