Replacing a Failing Power Unit

IMPORTANT: Do not remove a power unit which is operating
normally.
While the EcoPowerGateway is operating in power redundant configuration, the failing power unit
can be replaced with the system operating (power-on state). (Skip step 2.)
1.
Check the AC POWER lamp on the power unit to determine which unit needs to be
replaced.
The AC POWER lamp of the failing power unit is lit amber.
2.
Shutdown the system, and press the POWER switch to turn off the server.
3.
Disconnect the power cord from the failing power unit.
4.
Push the lever of the power unit toward inside, hold the handle, and pull out the power
unit toward you.
5.
Remove the power unit.
6.
If you remove the failed power unit but do not install the new one, install the blank cover
in the slot.
IMPORTANT:
To maintain the cooling effect in the EcoPowerGateway, install the
blank cover in the vacant slot.
Do not touch the terminals of the power unit.
