7-4 Installing Options

PREPARATION FOR INSTALLATION/REMOVAL

To install or remove an optional device, you need not to remove the EcoPowerGateway from the
rack. However, if you need to remove the EcoPowerGateway from the rack, be sure to perform it
with two or more persons.
IMPORTANT:
After disconnecting the DC cable, wait for about 5 seconds before
proceeding work. Some components may still work for 3 to 4
seconds after the DC cable is disconnected. Make sure that all the
components stop completely.
Place the EcoPowerGateway removed from the rack on the flat and
rigid desk.
When pulling out the EcoPowerGateway from the rack, be sure to
remove it completely. Do not leave the EcoPowerGateway being
pulled out from the rack.
Put the removed EcoPowerGateway in the following place.
– Place with little dust
– Place with less humidity
– Place that satisfies the requirements for anti-static measures
– Place where intense vibration or shock may not be generated
– Place where intense magnetic field is not generated
Observe the following instructions to use the EcoPowerGateway safely. Failure
to follow these instructions may cause a fire, personal injury, or property
damage. See pages 1-4 to 1-16 for details.
Pay attention not to drop the EcoPowerGateway.

Do not leave the device being pulled out from the rack.

Do not pinch your finger(s) with component.
