Configuring Wireless MAC-based ACL
Use this procedure to configure an ACL (Access Control List) based on the MAC addresses of the wireless
clients. By default, the Wireless ACL is disabled. When the wireless ACL is disabled, any wireless client with
the correct ESSID (and encryption key if applicable) can connect to the wireless network. For additional
security, you can specify a list of MAC addresses (network hardware addresses) to either allow or deny.
Security Alert:
MAC-based ACL is a weak form of authentication, and does not provide any data privacy
(encryption). MAC addresses can be forged relatively easily.
From the Network Setup menu, click Network Setup. The Connections tab opens. On the

Connections page, click the Edit icon alongside the Wireless network interface.
