Configuring the Windows client for DHCP

Use this procedure to set the TCP/IP properties for the LAN interface to obtain an IP address automatically.
The Windows client must be configured if you have configured a DHCP Server or Relay. This procedure is
for the Windows XP Professional operating system. You must have administrative rights to configure
Windows XP as a DHCP client.
Click Start > Control Panel > Network Connections > Local Area Connection. The Local Area
