Scan Adjust Value

A. Use
• Adjusts magnification in the main scan direction.
• Use when replacing the PH unit.
• This adjustment is necessary when the adjustment values are cleared due to the
replacement of the EEPROM on the print control board or other reasons.
B. Procedure

2. Make adjustments so that the gray area on each color sample of the output test pattern
becomes parallel to the main scan direction.
Calculate the correction values for cyan, magenta, and yellow in the following way.
<1> Check the numbers indicated on the ends of A and B which correspond to the darkest
black lines in the gray area of each color pattern.
(In the example of the yellow pattern, "1" is selected for the end of A and "7" is selected
for the end of B.)
<2> The number indicated on the end of A minus the number on the end of B equals the
correction value.
(In the example of the yellow pattern, the calculation is 1-7=-6. "-6" is the correction
value.)
