2.12.2 Two Tray Module IV (PL17.4)

2.12.2.1 Main Functions
SENSOR LOW PAPER (Tray 2) (Low Paper Sensor) (PL17.4.7)
SENSOR LOW PAPER (Tray 3) (Low Paper Sensor) (PL17.4.7)
The actuator lowers according to the level of paper in the tray. When the
actuator descends to a certain level, the sensor becomes shaded, thereby
allowing detection of the low quantity of paper.
The actuator position can be seen from the front of the tray, allowing a
rough estimate of remaining paper.
PWBA FEEDER (PL17.4.1)
Controls the paper supply operation for the PAPER FEEDER of each tray
based on communications with PWBA MCU & HVPS (PL15.1.2) and input
from the sensors/switches.
The following features are included:
• PWBA MCU & HVPS communications
• Reception of input from sensors/switches
• Control of DRIVE ASSY FEEDER (PL17.4.5), each solenoid and
each clutch
• Control of paper supply operation
• Distribution of low voltage DC power to each component from the
printer power supply.
DRIVE ASSY FEEDER (PL17.4.5)
Supplies drive to the PAPER FEEDER of each tray.
